Live Threading And Tooling

Live Threading used instead of a Tap or Die. 

Live Threading is a process of Milling in the threads instead of using a Tap or Die. Taps and Dies work good in Aluminum, Brass and other Metals but not so great for Wood. When using Taps and Dies in Wood it tends to rip and tear the threads leaving behind a fuzzy, jagged thread. When Thread Milling the threads using live tooling you get super accurate, clean threads as in the picture to the left.
